Welcome to Parliament Week at Centre for Mental Health

Today marks the start of Parliament Week, which we are happy to be taking part in this year. Parliament Week is a UK-wide programme of events and activities that inspire, engage and connect people with parliamentary democracy. Over the course of the next week our blog series will look at the interaction between parliament and parliamentarians with issues related to mental health.

The theme for our blog series is: talking to your MP about mental health. We’ve asked a number of MPs from all corners of the House of Commons to tell us about their experiences representing constituents on issues of mental health and ways in which they are working to shine a spotlight on this area.

We hope that you will enjoy our blog series and if you wish to get in touch with us about a story you’d like to share on this theme then do send an email to sofie.jenkinson@centreformentalhealth.org.uk
